Hotel operators are above other construction companies

Hotel constructors and hotel operators have located themselves above traditional construction companies, according to the 100 biggest construction companies in Mexico done by Obras magazine.

Every year this magazine makes a 100 list of the most outstanding companies in the construction sector, and this year is led by companies dedicated to hotel administration and operation.

This list is made through financial results from 2018.

International tourism grows

The month of April 2019 registered an increase in international tourism in Mexico with 9.9% more in relation to the same month of 2018.

In April of this year, the country received 3 million 621 thousand 537 international tourists of the 8 million 073 thousand 855 visitors that were registered in total.

Of the total of hospitalization tourists that visited Mexico, 85.6% entered the country by air and the other 14.4% did it by land.

The foreign currency derived from these visits was of 2 thousand 98 million dollars, according to figures from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), while the average expenditure made by international tourists who arrived by air was $ 1,029 dollars, showing a increase of 14.8% compared to what was registered in April 2018.
